It provided some comfort to me. Just moments earlier, I walked over to the area which was home to the chair in the woods I’ve been watching for years.
It’s not there anymore. And this is why:
I felt a pang. My heart broke a little when I saw that it was no more.
But one cannot stop the world from creeping in. Especially in Cary, NC, where new houses pop up like popcorn.
Luckily, I stopped by earlier this year to get one final glance before this quiet space housed a beaten up, abandoned chair.
It was just a matter of time.
I’ll miss it.
Thankful for beautiful flowers like queens anne’s lace. It grows wild among all of this.
