There’s nothing horrible about that bathroom, but it’s lacking some personality. Nice orange and white shower curtain, but I can’t say those beige walls are helping out too much.
So we went a little bit more dramatic.
If I were thinking, I would have marched over to the shower and pulled that orange shower curtain into the picture, but I wasn’t thinking. I took a picture from the doorway and moved on.
I’ve found some before & after pictures of my first bathroom renovation. It wasn’t all me. Sally Ross Designs of Montclair, NJ designed it and I selected the paint colors and pieces in the space. I owe so much to Sally. She doesn’t know this, but she’s the reason I started my own business in color and design.
Here’s what the bathroom looked like the very first time I saw it. It’s the only picture I have before it was demolished.
How about that purple?? Holy moly. I really loved that pedestal sink. The demolition crew accidentally threw it out the window. Oops.
I still ache when I think about it.
I found another sink and it eased the pain a little.
We completely gutted that bathroom.
It took a few days to lay that tile.
And talk about a powerful flush.
Scared the crap out of me.
Ok, ok. Enough bathroom humor.
This paint color is Horizon Gray from Benjamin Moore. A favorite. 🙂
