It’s been two years since I first photographed this chair in the woods. It’s still there as of this morning.
I’m afraid its time is limited now.
The signs are there.
Or should I say, the markers have arrived.
Just beyond this stretch of land are signs for town homes. All of this may be gone by next year.
That makes me sad.
But for now, the chair remains. I never sat in it, but I’ll miss seeing it.
We are so busy these days. The chair reminds me that time moves at the same speed for everyone and everything. There it sits, steady and unfettered.
It reminds me to slow down.
And to remain unfettered. At least as much as possible.
